Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta and play a key role in delivering impactful roadway projects that enhance safety, mobility, and connectivity throughout Georgia. As a Roadway Design Engineer II , you will contribute to the development of roadway designs through engineering analysis, modeling, and detailed plan production. You’ll collaborate closely with Lead Engineers and Project Managers on a diverse portfolio of transportation projects, gaining exposure to complex challenges and innovative solutions. This role offers a hybrid work option , supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates
Perform self-checks and resolve comments to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables
Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development
Apply GDOT standards and requirements to assigned tasks
Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery
Track individual task assignments, schedule, and level of effort
Proactively identify and communicate technical issues or risks
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of related roadway project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred:
Georgia PE License (or ability to obtain)
5 years of experience designing roadway projects
Experience designing Georgia roadway projects
Additional Information
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Relocation is not an option for this position
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $80000 to $110000.
