Point2 Technology is a San Jose semiconductor company building the RF interconnect fabric for next-generation AI data centers. Its e-Tube platform uses RF signaling over plastic waveguides to create Active RF Cables (ARCs) that break past the reach, power, and cost limits of copper and optics - backed by a recently extended $76M Series B with NVentures (NVIDIA) and now scaling its engineering team toward productization.

About the Role
Point2 Technology is hiring RFIC Design Engineers to build the high-frequency silicon behind its data-center interconnect products. You'll design mmWave and sub-THz RFIC blocks — TX/RX chains, mixers, LO multiplication, clock distribution, and RF front ends - and take them from schematic through layout in advanced SiGe and CMOS processes.

The work is hands-on and product-focused: modeling parasitics, coupling, EM behavior, and transmission-line effects, then integrating your blocks into Point2's core architecture alongside cross-functional teams. Multiple seats are open across seniority levels, with room for both seasoned mmWave designers and mid-level engineers who have real sub-THz design exposure.

Responsibilities
Design RFIC blocks including sub-THz RX/TX amplifiers, and other high‑frequency analog circuits.
Perform schematic‑level and layout‑level design in advanced SiGe and CMOS technologies.
Model and analyze high‑frequency effects including parasitics, coupling, EM behavior, and transmission‑line interactions.
Use industry‑standard tools such as Cadence, EMX, HFSS and Calibre for design, simulation, and verification.
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate RFIC blocks into system‑level architectures.
Contribute to design reviews, architecture discussions, and high‑frequency performance optimization.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or M.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Hands‑on experience designing RFIC blocks at mmWave or sub‑THz frequencies.
Experience designing, testing or working with RF systems at frequencies of 20 GHz or higher.
Strong understanding of high‑frequency IC fundamentals including EM effects, layout impacts, and transmission‑line behavior.
Proficiency with Cadence, EMX, and Calibre; Unix/SKILL experience a plus.
Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast‑moving environment.

Required Skills
Hands-on RFIC block design at mmWave or sub-THz frequencies (20 GHz and above)
Experience across key blocks: TX/RX chains, mixers, LO multiplication, clock distribution, RF front end
Strong grasp of high-frequency IC fundamentals — EM effects, parasitics, layout impact, transmission-line behavior
Proficiency with Cadence, EMX, and Calibre
Demonstrated productization experience (silicon that shipped, not research alone)

Preferred Skills
Direct sub-THz design exposure (28–60 GHz and beyond)
5G mmWave background — strong fit for the senior seats
HFSS and similar EM simulation tools; Unix/SKILL scripting
Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking in a fast-moving environment
