RF Hardware Engineer, Aerospace Systems
Location: On Site in Greater Phoenix, AZ area
Our client is growing a high impact engineering team responsible for sophisticated RF hardware used in demanding aerospace and defense environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants meaningful ownership, hands on technical depth, and visibility across the entire product journey. From early concept work through lab validation and production support, this role offers the chance to influence real hardware programs that matter.

Focus
Own the development of RF hardware solutions from initial requirements through verification and release
Create and refine board level and subsystem designs used in complex aerospace and defense platforms
Perform analysis, simulation, and performance optimization for RF and mixed signal circuits using common industry design tools
Partner with cross functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test to ensure designs are practical, reliable, and production ready
Support hardware bring up, troubleshooting, integration activities, and transition into build environments
Prepare clear design records, technical rationale, and validation materials to support development milestones
Contribute in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners when needed
Share knowledge with peers and help strengthen technical execution across the team
Skill Set
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical field, advanced education is valued
Strong experience designing RF and microwave hardware in aerospace, defense, military electronics, or other high reliability environments
Background in board level hardware development and subsystem integration
Experience using industry-standard engineering software for design, simulation, analysis, and product development.
Understanding of mixed signal hardware considerations, lab validation, and design tradeoff analysis
Track record of supporting products through development, test, and production readiness
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well across technical teams
U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates should be eligible to pursue a security clearance
Preferred Background
Experience supporting the development of complex electronic systems, assemblies, or integrated hardware solutions.
Experience working within structured development environments that require adherence to established standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Previous work on defense or space related systems is helpful
