**Relocation assistance available for non-local candidates**
Eligibility Requirement: This role may involve access to export-controlled technical data regulated under U.S. government compliance requirements. Candidates selected for positions requiring such access must qualify as a U.S. Person in accordance with ITAR regulations.
We’re partnering with a highly established organization developing advanced RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave communication systems.
The organization is seeking an RF Design Engineer to support the design, analysis, development, integration, and production of high-performance RF and microwave hardware systems used across advanced defense communication and radar platforms. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and customer teams throughout the full product lifecycle from prototype through production release.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with RF/microwave system design, mixed-signal hardware development, RF subsystem architecture, and microwave simulation tools within aerospace, defense, radar, or high-reliability communications environments. Candidates with radar systems experience and hands-on microwave design expertise in higher frequency ranges will align especially well with the technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
This RF Design Engineer will support the design, development, analysis, integration, and testing of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave communication hardware systems for aerospace and defense applications. Responsibilities include RF system analysis, mixed-signal subsystem design, receiver and transmitter architecture development, filter modeling, RF simulation, and hardware integration activities supporting advanced communication and radar technologies. The engineer will collaborate with internal engineering teams and external customers to translate technical requirements into manufacturable hardware solutions while supporting full lifecycle development activities from concept and prototype through production release. Additional responsibilities include simulation and modeling, design documentation, tolerance analysis, test support, technical presentations, and participation in customer specification reviews and engineering discussions.
Core Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
• 5 - 10+ years of RF, microwave, or millimeter-wave design experience within aerospace, defense or communications environments
• Strong experience with RF architecture, RF subsystem design, mixed-signal systems, transmit/receive chains, synthesizers, PLLs, and receiver architectures
• Experience using RF simulation and modeling tools such as ADS, AWR, Genesys, HFSS, Matlab, or equivalent platforms
• Experience supporting RF hardware development through full product lifecycle including prototype, testing, integration, and production
Preferred Background
• Experience supporting radar, military communications, or defense electronics programs
• Experience with board-level microwave design and high-frequency systems up to 40 GHz
• Familiarity with RF test, system integration, and production support activities
• Strong customer-facing communication and technical presentation abilities
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams
Eligibility Requirement
This role may involve access to export-controlled technical data regulated under U.S. government compliance requirements. Candidates selected for positions requiring such access must qualify as a U.S. Person in accordance with ITAR regulations.
Employee Benefits Highlights
• Competitive compensation package with bonus and sign-on potential for senior-level candidates
• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement benefits starting early in employment
• 401(k) program with company match plus paid holidays and PTO accrual beginning immediately
• Opportunity to work on advanced aerospace and defense RF technologies supporting mission-critical military programs
