The Opportunity
I am currently recruiting for a Research Scientist to join a growing Machine Learning team working at the forefront of medical imaging AI.
This opportunity would suit a recent PhD graduate, postdoctoral researcher, or early-career industry professional looking to apply machine learning and computer vision techniques to real-world healthcare problems.
You will work alongside experienced researchers and engineers to develop, evaluate, and improve AI algorithms that support image interpretation and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Research, develop, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning algorithms for medical imaging appli
cationsWork on computer vision challenges including classification, detection, segmentation, quantification, and image a
nalysisDesign and execute experiments to improve model performance and rob
ustnessDevelop high-quality Python code to support research, prototyping, and model deve
lopmentAnalyse large imaging datasets and generate meaningful insights from experimental
resultsCollaborate with software engineers to support the transition of research models into production envir
onmentsContribute to technical documentation, publications, and internal presen
tationsStay current with advances in machine learning, computer vision, and medical imaging research
Required Qualifications:
PhD completed in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a rela
ted fieldStrong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and statistical
modellingExperience developing deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch or T
ensorFlowStrong programming skills
in PythonExperience conducting independent research and communicating technical
findingsStrong analytical and problem-solving
abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
