the Research & Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving products, technologies, and processes to support the company's innovation and growth objectives. This hands-on role includes design, analysis, testing, while leading technical research, prototype development, and product testing to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. The position works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams and plays a key role in moving concepts through the product development lifecycle from ideations through commercialization.

What you’ll do

Design and develop new products, systems, including building prototypes and supporting testing and validation.

Create product concepts, feasibility studies, and engineering designs

Create CAD models, drawings and layouts in SolidWorks to support new designs and product improvements.

Run basic engineering calculations and apply mechanical, thermal, and flow fundamentals to guide design decisions.

Support product development through full lifecycle – from concept and prototype builds to testing, production, and release

Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable

Review test results, troubleshoot technical issues, and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and cost.

What makes you a great fit

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

3–8 years of experience in engineering, preferably in R&D or product development

Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling and assemblies)

Hands-on experience with prototype builds, testing, and validation

Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals (mechanical, thermal, fluid, or systems)

Ability to follow structured test plans and clearly document results

Experience in industrial equipment environments (preferred)

Willingness to travel to customer sites, suppliers, or field installations as needed
