Role Reports To: VP of Engineering
Position Snapshot
Responsible for early- to late-stage (through IFC) engineering efforts on a project basis for utility-scale solar, ESS, and wind projects. Manages and coordinates site-specific engineering designs and ensures they align with Zelestra standards.
Position Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in utility-scale renewable energy.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field required; master's degree in an engineering field desirable.
Knowledge of renewable energy technical standards and practices, with ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PV design tools, production modeling tools, and related engineering software required.
Daily AI user experienced in generative AI, prompt engineering, automation, research, content creation, and data-driven insights to boost productivity and outcomes.
Position Responsibility
Ensure engineering designs and contracting align with Zelestra standards (including the creation of new standards where appropriate) and incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.
Lead coordination (with internal and external stakeholders) of the 10%, 30%, 60%, IFC engineering packages for solar/BESS/Wind
Lead developing technical scopes of work (including templates) for LNTP, EPC, & owners engineering efforts
Support technical due diligence of Independent Engineers supporting project financing
Maintain repositories for lesson’s learned and project designs
Utilize the Zelestra early and late stage processes during the design and construction of projects
Support reviewing project estimates and ensure they meet the project specific design basis
Support major equipment selection for solar/wind/BESS
Key contact for all project related technical issues and technical scope
Attend monthly owner meetings to ensure deliverables are met
Follow Zelestra design engineering processes
Compensation And Benefits
The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 annually. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
