Remote Design Engineer - PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings)

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) to join our growing team. This is a flexible opportunity that allows candidates to work fully remote or relocate to one of our office locations if preferred.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of PEMB design experience and a strong understanding of structural steel systems, building analysis, and engineering coordination.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer PEMB structures for commercial, industrial, and manufacturing projects
Review project specifications, drawings, and structural requirements
Coordinate with project managers, detailers, estimators, and customers
Ensure designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements
Assist with engineering calculations, connection design, and project optimization
Support fabrication and field teams as needed throughout project execution

Qualifications

5-10+ years of PEMB design engineering experience required
Strong knowledge of structural steel and metal building systems
Experience with PEMB engineering/design software preferred
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience
