Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to support a mission-critical defense program in Moorestown, NJ. The Radar Signal Processing Engineer will be responsible for developing advanced radar algorithms, supporting system modeling and simulation, and contributing to the integration and performance analysis of AESA radar systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in radar systems and an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities of the Radar Signal Processing Engineer include:
Develop and implement radar signal processing algorithms for advanced AESA systems
Perform modeling, simulation, and performance analysis using MATLAB and Simulink
Support beamforming design and analysis for radar system performance optimization
Contribute to system architecture, requirements definition, and trade studies
Support integration, test, verification, and validation activities across radar subsystems
Analyze system performance data and drive improvements through algorithm refinement
Participate in technical design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Document technical work, models, and analysis within engineering systems and tools
Qualifications of the Radar Signal Processing Engineer include:
Active Secret clearance required
U.S. Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience in radar signal processing, algorithm development, and AESA systems/beamforming
Strong experience with MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and performance analysis
Strong analytical and applied mathematics background
Experience with at least two of the following:
Requirements definition
Verification and validation
Trade studies
Modeling and simulation
Integration and test
System architecture using DOORS, MBSE, or SysML
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO
Proficiency in C++ or similar object-oriented programming language
Experience working within the radar systems domain
Compensation for the Radar Signal Processing Engineer includes:
Level 2 (2–5 years): ~$110,000
Level 3 (5+ years): ~$150,000
Level 4 (9–13 years): ~$185,000
Level 5 (14+ years, SME preferred): Competitive, based on experience
