Role Summary

The Senior Reliability Engineer role is responsible for ensuring that heavy vehicles and equipment (such as heavy trucks, agricultural machinery, or construction vehicles) are safe, durable, and cost-effective to repair. Instead of creating new designs from scratch, this engineer analyzes data on how parts and systems wear out or fail, and recommends changes to improve the product's lifespan and make repairs easier.

Key Responsibilities
Design Evaluation: Uses analytical methods like DFMEA and FMECA to identify potential failures and evaluate how they impact vehicle performance.
Data Analytics: Reviews failure and test data to find the root causes of issues and propose corrective actions.
Supportability Planning: Works with cross-functional teams to develop lifecycle support plans and ensure technical manuals, publications, and diagnostics are accurate.
Collaboration: Acts as the technical expert and communicates with customers and cross-functional teams.

Target Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a closely related STEM field).
Experience: 3+ years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or similar machinery.
Analytical Skills: Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and evaluating data/test incident reports.
Core Tools: Proficiency in DFMEA, FMECA, and LORA (Level of Repair Analysis) methodologies.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for customer-facing requirements planning and design reviews.
