What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
In this position, you will get to:
Lead end to end execution of mechanical product development, including feasibility studies, prototype builds, customer informed iterations, validation testing, agency certification, vendor management and commercialization.
Drive design‑for‑manufacturability and pilot‑build activities to ensure scalable, cost‑effective, and production‑ready mechanical designs.
Develop complete and accurate material, component, and product specifications, ensuring alignment with quality standards and supporting the creation of robust quality assurance procedures.
Plan, complete, and refine engineering tasks by translating product targets into technical requirements, defining clear achievements, and maintaining a prioritized engineering backlog that supports NPI timelines.
Validate mechanical designs through rigorous testing, iterative prototyping, performance evaluations and coordination of third party compliance.
Partner with multi-functional teams including operations, quality, sourcing, product management and sales to support launch readiness
Maintain full accountability for engineering work within the gated NPI process, ensuring readiness for each phase and driving on time progression through the development cycle.
Provide technical leadership in design reviews, FMEAs, and structured risk mitigation efforts, ensuring robust engineering decisions and early identification of technical risk
Act as a technical voice in the field—engaging directly with end‑users to understand installation, performance, and usability issues, and returning well‑defined, feasibility‑grounded project ideas that strengthen the NPI funnel and guide future product direction
You Have
Academic background in Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in or with 5+ Years of related experience
Proficient in SolidWorks assemblies, modeling, drawings, and PDM/PLM systems
Managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner
Strong understanding of metals, polymers, and composite materials, with hands‑on experience in stamping, machining, and injection molding.
Skills
Working in various CAD systems (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
Strong technical curiosity, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
