RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a Quality Assurance Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead QA efforts across multiple in-flight projects of varying scope and complexity
Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, and QA milestones aligned to project timelines
Oversee system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases
Coordinate and guide QA Analysts and QC/manual testing teams without direct people management responsibility
Monitor test execution, defect trends, risks, and dependencies; Proactively escalate issues when needed
Provide clear QA status reporting, metrics, and defect analysis to stakeholders and leadership
Participate in project meetings and contribute QA expertise to solution design and delivery decisions
Ensure testing activities follow established QA standards, processes, and compliance requirements
Identify process gaps, improve efficiencies, and contribute to QA policy and procedure development
Support release readiness by reviewing test results and validating production deployments

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in QA/QC or software testing, including Test Lead responsibilities
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Proven experience leading test planning, execution oversight, and UAT coordination
Hands-on experience with test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM/qTest, Xray)
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
