About the Role
We are hiring a hands-on QA Engineering Lead to drive day-to-day platform testing and release quality for a fast-growing healthcare technology platform.
This role is ideal for someone who can lead QA strategy while staying deeply hands-on with test automation, manual testing, API testing, scripting, and release validation. You will work closely with a global engineering team to ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and ready for production.
This is not a hands-off QA management role. We need someone who can build, test, automate, troubleshoot, and lead from the front.
What You will Do
Lead QA activities across frontend, backend, API, database, and platform workflows.
Build, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks.
Perform manual, exploratory, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Create test plans, test cases, regression suites, release validation checklists, and QA sign-off processes.
Partner with global engineering teams to identify, document, prioritize, and resolve defects.
Validate APIs, React workflows, Node.js services, MySQL data flows, and AWS-hosted platform components.
Support CI/CD quality gates and release-readiness processes.
Help strengthen engineering quality in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment.
What We are Looking For
5+ years of hands-on QA engineering experience.
Strong experience with both test automation and manual testing.
Ability to code, script, and build automated tests.
Experience testing modern web applications and cloud-based platforms.
Strong API testing experience.
Experience with AWS, GitHub, Docker, React, Node.js, MySQL, and test automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of SDLC, regression testing, integration testing, release validation, and defect management.
Ability to work effectively with globally distributed engineering teams.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
Master’s degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
Nice to Have
AWS certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
QA/testing certification such as ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Advanced Level, or equivalent.
Test automation or tooling experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or similar platforms.
Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster, CSM, Professional Scrum Master, or PSM.
Healthcare, HIPAA, or compliance-related experience is a plus.
