Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in the New York City Metropolitan Area for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for executing software tests, developing and maintaining test cases, ensuring quality assurance processes, and performing manual testing. We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong foundation in manual testing and a growing interest in test automation. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of web, mobile, and OTT streaming applications by executing comprehensive test strategies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Document and execute detailed manual test cases and test plans based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Identify, log, and track software defects using an issue-tracking system (JIRA experience preferred), ensuring clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence are provided.
Perform a wide range of testing activities, including Functional, Regression, System, Ad-Hoc, Exploratory, Cross-Browser/Cross-Platform, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Conduct extensive testing of web applications, native mobile apps (iOS and Android), and OTT streaming platforms across devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV & Smart TVs.
Conduct testing across different revenue models like subscription, transactional, inapp payment and ads
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to fully understand requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business objectives.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Monitor bug tracking portal; report and manage defects found and work closely with development team for resolution
Work with Project Manager to provide estimates, identify project risks and fallback plan for testing cycle
Work in a fast-tracked, result-driven and high-pressured environment
Coordinate with internal and external teams (on site/offshore) as necessary.

Qualifications
3+ years’ QA Experience in planning and implementing tests for web platforms and multiple operating platforms (IOS, Android, HTML5), Connected/Living room devices
Must be able to work Full-Time
Bachelor’s / advance degree in Computer Science, Technology, Media, or Information Systems preferred demonstrating a strong understanding of software development and infrastructure
Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
QA Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Test Documentation: Expertise in creating clear, concise, and thorough test plans and test cases.
Defect Tracking: Hands-on experience with bug tracking and project management tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
Cross-Platform Testing: Experience in testing applications across different operating systems (Web, iOS, Android, Connected TVs) and browsers.

Type: Full-Time & in-office
Salary: $75,000-$90,000 yearly
Required Work Authorization: U.S. citizenship or Green Card is required

Nice to Have
Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting languages.
Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of basic automated test scripts for core functionality and regression test suites under the guidance of Senior QA or Automation Engineer
