Skool is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with expertise in testing consumer-facing software. Our ideal teammate has a deep understanding of testing methodologies (both automated and manual) and a strong track record of improving product quality through hands-on execution.
Our QA engineers play a critical role in everything from core product features to payments and discovery, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users. You’ll work closely with engineers to test, break, and improve systems – helping us ship fast without sacrificing quality. If you enjoy owning quality end-to-end and building scalable testing practices, we’d love to have you on board.
This is a 100% remote position. Skool has an office in Los Angeles, CA but works as a distributed team.
What you'll do
Own end-to-end quality for product areas, from development through release
Design, write, and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing features
Build on existing and create new automation strategies to enable and drive higher quality software at Skool
Develop and maintain automated test coverage across key systems (web, API, and/or backend)
Build product expertise to identify and close gaps in test coverage and edge cases
Partner closely with engineering and product to identify risks early and improve overall system reliability
Help establish and implement best practices, methodologies, and tooling to raise the overall bar of quality assurance at Skool
Investigate, debug, and help resolve test failures and production issues
What we're looking for
6+ years of relevant QA / testing automation experience
Direct experience testing SaaS products or web platforms
Experience with automated web testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
Experience creating and implementing test automation strategies, methodologies, and approaches (unit, functional, integration)
Strong ability to setup and execute automated test suites and debug test failures
A hands-on, ownership mindset with a passion for improving product quality
Bonus: Experience with Appium and mobile testing
Why join Skool?
Over 20M users, 100K communities, $1B in creator revenue + already profitable (!)
Fast growing, mission-driven company with a focus on education & community
We’re a small collaborative team that likes to have fun while prioritizing balance
Remote first, industry leading compensation, fully covered medical, dental & vision insurance (including dependents), 401(k) matching, and more!
NOTE: If you plan to apply, please use a PDF (not word doc) for your resume/CV.
