Quality Testing Engineer II
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your Responsibilities
The Quality Testing Engineer II is responsible to support the validation and verification of home appliances produced within the North American region. He/She will develop and execute test procedures for appliances (including hardware and software) throughout the product's development and production lifecycles.
Definition of the local testing strategy for appliance development projects and throughout the lifecycle
Design and implementation of the validation concept within the factory based on the global validation concept
Coordination/definition of the test concept with DE within the projects for appliance life cycle tests and software validation tests based on the relevant requirements
Coordination of topics with the global departments (working groups, specialist circle)
Development and implementation of the required infrastructure
Test coordination and monitoring of ongoing tests
Evaluation/analysis of test results and alignment with DE
Support the release of appliances for the sales in the market North America, new models and variants from a Quality perspective utilizing the PDM / release plan system
Perform all other duties as assigned
Your profile
Four-Year College – Engineering or related field – Required
3-5 Years Experience (Quality Test Engineer, Quality Assurance Analyst or similar related to appliance or other product hardware and/or software testing) – Required
Travel Percentage – 10%
Knowledge of test management and bug-tracking tools, such as Jira preferred
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks, and be prompt meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of the basics of ISO, FMEA, 8D, and SPC
Familiarity with all Microsoft products: Excel and Power BI are desired.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills and able to communicate with a wide spectrum of people from technicians to upper management.
Must be able to work well with people in other departments under difficult and sometimes urgent circumstances
Home Appliance industry preferred
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
Benefits offered include the following:
Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability benefits, employee assistance program (EAP), Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Account (HSA) participation starting on the first day of the calendar month following date of hire.
Wellness Plan that allows participating employees to earn lower medical care premiums.
401(k) Retirement Plan starting on the first day of the calendar month following 30 days of service. The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.
Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
