About The Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our Engineering Department in a full-time, remote capacity. The QA Tester will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues prior to product release. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences. Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla
  • Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Perform both manual and automated testing to validate software functionality and performance
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring clear communication of issues
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and project goals
  • Conduct regression, functional, usability, and performance testing to verify software quality
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before product release
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile development cycles to align testing efforts with development timelines
  • Provide constructive feedback on product usability, functionality, and overall quality to improve future releases
  • Maintain detailed testing documentation and comprehensive reports for transparency and continuous improvement
