About Tycho.AI
Tycho.AI builds autonomy solutions for unmanned systems operating in GPS- and comms-denied environments. We are a fast-growing, dual-use technology company at the forefront of national security and commercial innovation, with a mission to push the boundaries of what autonomous systems can achieve. Backed by VCs with unicorn wins and trusted by defense customers, our team is rethinking autonomy from the chip up using modular AI, advanced visual-inertial sensing, and real-time edge compute to unlock next-gen mission capability.
About The Role
As an Integrations QA/QC Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, functionality, and integration quality of complex hardware systems across our autonomous platforms. This role will focus on validating subsystem integrations spanning avionics, compute, sensors, communications, power systems, embedded electronics, and autonomy-enabling hardware.
Responsibilities
Collaborate on the development and execution of QA/QC processes for integrated hardware systems and autonomous platforms
Create and maintain integration test plans, validation procedures, acceptance criteria, and quality documentation
Validate subsystem interoperability across compute, sensors, RF systems, embedded electronics, power systems, networking, and mechanical assemblies
Perform system-level integration testing, environmental testing, bring-up, and troubleshooting activities
Support hardware verification efforts, including functional, regression, stress, and reliability testing
Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, embedded software, autonomy, and manufacturing teams during integration and validation activities
Investigate hardware failures, integration defects, and intermittent system issues; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions
Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), bench, and field testing activities for autonomous systems
Assist with manufacturing quality processes, incoming inspections, and production validation workflows as needed
Improve test infrastructure, automation tools, data collection processes, and release readiness criteria
Track quality metrics and integration issues to support rapid development cycles and continuous improvement
Requirements
3+ years of experience in hardware QA/QC, systems integration, validation engineering, or test engineering
Experience working with complex electromechanical or embedded systems
Strong hands-on debugging and troubleshooting skills across hardware and integrated systems
Experience executing structured test plans and documenting validation results
Comfortable working in Linux-based and embedded system environments
Strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have
Experience with UAVs, robotics, aerospace, defense, or autonomous systems
Familiarity with RF systems, telemetry, networking, or sensor integration
Experience supporting hardware bring-up and prototype development cycles
Exposure to manufacturing quality systems and production test processes
Experience with environmental, vibration, thermal, or reliability testing
Familiarity with embedded software validation or hardware/software integration workflows
Experience with scripting or automation tools for test execution and data analysis (Python, Bash, etc.)
Knowledge of safety-critical system validation practices
Why Tycho.AI
Be part of a rapidly scaling startup defining the future of autonomous intelligence.
Collaborative, high-trust culture that values innovation, execution, and continuous learning.
Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and generous benefits package.
