About The Role
Blutic is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join its dynamic team on a 100% remote basis. The ideal candidate will possess over 7 years of comprehensive software testing experience, including hands-on expertise in automated testing, scripting, and maintenance of automation test suites. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, validating requirements, and maintaining automation frameworks. The position plays a critical role in regression testing, exploratory testing, and supporting release activities to guarantee system stability and performance. The initial engagement is for six months with potential for extension, and candidates should be willing to work within US time zones.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of software testing experience, with a focus on automation
Proven experience in testing and maintaining automation test suites
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
Experience testing APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured
Strong scripting or programming skills relevant to automation testing
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Familiarity with regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug tracking processes
Responsibilities
Deliver quality through automated testing, accounting for approximately 60% of responsibilities
Support product teams by ensuring proper planning and delivery of quality deliverables
Create, modify, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test scripts within a collaborative environment
Manage the bug backlog, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of defects
Identify test cases suitable for automation and develop frameworks/extensions to support new testing needs
Track, analyze, and document testing results, defects, and enhancements for continuous improvement
Participate in regression testing to verify that existing features remain unaffected by new updates, representing around 20% of duties
Develop and maintain automated regression test suites, ensuring their effectiveness and relevance
Coordinate off-hours testing during release cycles and verify successful deployment to production environments
Engage with customers and stakeholders to document and analyze end-user reported issues, contributing approximately 10% of responsibilities
Provide insights on system stability, performance, and quality issues, collaborating with teams to test fixes and patches
