This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the Nomia platform.
You will be responsible for executing test plans, designing and maintaining automated and manual test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to deliver high-quality, scalable software that enhances user experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure product quality and adherence to requirements
Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and product managers to understand user stories, acceptance criteria, and business context
Create and maintain detailed test cases and documentation aligned with the software testing lifecycle (STLC)
Perform manual and automated testing across web and API layers using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and REST Assured
Identify, log, and track defects through the complete defect lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and re-validation
Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) to provide QA input and ensure testing readiness
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test suites and maintaining test environments (Jenkins, Git)
Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure data integrity
Support performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to identify system bottlenecks
Explore and leverage AI-powered testing tools such as Testim and Applitools to enhance automation coverage and accuracy
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, frameworks, and standards
Ensure test results are clearly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders
Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, and accountability across the engineering team
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
3–6 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation)
Strong understanding of STLC, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies
Proficiency in UI automation using Selenium or Cypress
Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or REST Assured
Working knowledge of SQL for database validations
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git
Good to have: basic understanding of performance testing (JMeter or LoadRunner)
Good to have: exposure to AI-powered testing frameworks like Testim or Applitools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional, Agile environments
Bonus: ISTQB certification or equivalent
