About The Role
Quantum US is seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with a focus on UI testing for Storage Management systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, usability, and robustness of user interfaces that facilitate complex storage operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including frontend and backend developers, UX designers, product managers, and system architects to validate that management workflows are intuitive, accurate, and resilient under various operational conditions. Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA engineering or test engineering, with a strong emphasis on UI or frontend testing.
Hands-on experience testing web applications across modern browsers and responsive platforms.
Proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
Experience testing complex systems such as storage, infrastructure, or distributed environments.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools within Agile development frameworks.
Ability to work onsite at our Centennial, CO office at least three times a week (Tuesday - Thursday, 10 am - 4 pm core hours).
Preferred
Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
Knowledge of storage management products, monitoring dashboards, or infrastructure control systems.
Understanding of storage concepts including NAS, SAN, object storage, replication, snapshots, and quotas.
Exposure to performance visualization, alerting, and telemetry systems.
Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and usability testing best practices.
Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with engineering, product, and UX teams.

Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive test cases for web-based storage management interfaces, covering configuration, monitoring, provisioning, alerting, and administrative workflows. Validate UI behavior against detailed product requirements, UX designs, and underlying system functionalities to ensure consistency and correctness. Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability issues, workflow inconsistencies, and potential areas for improvement in complex management scenarios. Collaborate with development teams to test frontend interactions with backend APIs, ensuring accurate data representation, proper state management, and robust error handling during various system events such as node failures, capacity adjustments, and performance fluctuations. Ensure the UI functions correctly across multiple user roles and permission levels, maintaining security and access controls. Develop and maintain automated UI tests using modern frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and regression coverage. Work closely with cross-functional teams to review design specifications, provide feedback on testability, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and updates. Track, manage, and verify defect resolutions, providing detailed reports, reproduction steps, and impact analysis to engineering teams. Develop a deep understanding of storage management features to create meaningful validation scenarios and support release qualification activities, including UI readiness assessments, documentation reviews, and user experience evaluations. Act as a quality advocate, promoting best practices in testing and quality assurance across the organization, and contributing to process improvements that enhance overall product quality.
