About this opportunity:
CADchat is looking for a QA Compliance Engineer to join our team. The QA Compliance Engineer focuses primarily on building and improving quality assurance processes for a product with an established and expanding codebase. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with automated testing, deployment pipeline quality workflows, and software development collaboration, along with exposure to SOC 2-related processes. In this role, you will help shape QA practices from the ground up, support reliable releases, and contribute to ongoing compliance readiness in partnership with the engineering team. We are excited to welcome someone who can help strengthen quality practices while supporting compliance-related workflows in a growing software environment.
CADchat is a SaaS platform built for modern product and engineering teams to collaborate around 3D models, drawings, and design decisions — in real time and asynchronously.
We help teams replace slow, fragmented workflows (screenshots, emails, scattered markups) with a shared visual workspace that accelerates feedback, improves clarity, and reduces costly mistakes.
CADchat is trusted by manufacturing, engineering, and product teams that care deeply about quality, precision and time to market. Following our recent acquisition, we’re entering a new phase of growth — scaling the product, the team, and the systems that support both.
As our platform and ecosystem grow, we’re investing in the people, workflows, and experiences that help teams succeed from day one. Every role at CADchat has real ownership in building a product customers trust. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, quality systems, and compliance, enabling teams to move fast with confidence while maintaining trust in our security and processes.

Your key contributions in this role will be:
QA Process Leadership: Lead the discovery, design, and implementation of scalable QA practices that fit the needs of a growing engineering organization.
Automated Testing: Create, maintain, and improve automated tests to support product quality and increase confidence in releases.
Pipeline Integration: Ensure tests are incorporated effectively into deployment and build pipelines so developers have clear visibility into quality results.
Feature Validation: Partner with the development team to validate new features, confirm expected behavior, and help ensure implementation aligns with intended design.
Manual Testing Support: Perform manual testing when automated coverage is not practical or when additional verification is needed.
Release Quality Oversight: Support release readiness by reviewing quality checkpoints such as pull requests, unit test expectations, and related workflow requirements.
Compliance Support: Assist with SOC 2-related activities tied to engineering workflows, including helping maintain automated checks and supporting follow-up actions when issues arise.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering leadership and the broader development team to introduce process improvements in a way that supports adoption and long-term success.

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:
Proven experience in a QA engineering role with a strong emphasis on automated testing rather than manual-only QA.
Hands-on coding experience and the ability to work comfortably alongside software engineers in a development environment.
Experience building or formalizing QA practices, workflows, or processes, ideally in a smaller or early-stage software organization.
Familiarity with integrating testing into deployment pipelines, release workflows, or broader engineering processes.
Ability to evaluate the bigger picture of software quality, recommend practical improvements, and balance structure with team agility.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to be assertive when driving quality standards and process adoption.
Exposure to SOC 2 compliance workflows is highly valued, especially in connection with engineering or development processes.
Extra points for: Experience with accessibility standards, compliance tooling such as Vanta, or working in environments where QA and compliance responsibilities meaningfully overlap.

This role is a great fit if you:
Prefer enabling teams over acting as a gatekeeper
Enjoy improving systems and processes over time
Are comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping bring clarity
Like partnering cross-functionally and influencing without authority
Care deeply about user experience, reliability, and trust
This role may not be a fit if you:
Prefer highly rigid, top-down processes with little flexibility
Are most comfortable working independently without close collaboration 4
View QA as a final checkpoint rather than an embedded practice
Want ownership of formal audits rather than supporting readiness
