The Impact You'll Make
At Danfoss, you’ll help bring innovative compressor technologies to life, turning ideas into real, testable products that drive energy efficiency and performance. As a Prototype Engineer, your work directly supports new product development and plays a key role in delivering high-quality solutions to market.
You’ll operate at the intersection of hands-on engineering and product innovation, building and analyzing prototypes that influence design decisions and future production. Your insights will help improve manufacturability, reliability, and overall product quality.
This is a role where your technical skills and curiosity truly matter. You’ll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to solve real-world challenges and continuously improve how products are built.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build and deliver high-quality compressor prototypes to support R&D and product validation, ensuring timely and reliable results
Perform tear-down analysis on tested units and translate findings into clear reports that guide engineering improvements
Design and create tools, fixtures, and assembly solutions that enable efficient prototype and low-volume builds
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) in new product development
Support manufacturing by troubleshooting processes, solving technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years in product development or manufacturing
Strong hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and disassembly, ideally in compressors or similar systems
Proficiency in CAD tools for 3D modeling and 2D drawings
Experience with DFM/DFA principles and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes
Ability to manage work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong communication and teamwork skills
What You'll Get From Us
We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you! Apply now to start the conversation and learn more about where your career can go with us.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected category.
