What To Expect
We’re seeking a hands-on engineer that’s passionate about designing and refining systems for the Semi, enabling product improvements across the vehicle combination. Working directly on the Semi Engineering team and alongside mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, this role will own development of cross-functional features that will enable customers to realize the lowest total cost of ownership, enable autonomous operations, and expand the Semi’s market reach.
What You'll Do
Lead a cross-functional group of engineers to design and integrate multi-system solutions for the Semi and associated trailers
Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts to ensure seamless interaction between mechanical, electrical, and software systems
Define specifications and requirements for relevant systems
Build and test prototypes to validate performance of solutions
Build and test prototypes to validate designs and evaluate potential new products, applications, and duty cycles
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience in mechanical, electrical, or software design, preferably in automotive, construction, or manufacturing sectors. Equivalent of 3 years’ experience desired (e.g. FSAE or similar collegiate project for new graduates)
Experience in project leadership (minimum of 1 full project cycle from conception to delivery)
Hands-on experience with prototyping and R&D for large scale, complex/integrated systems or vehicles
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA or 3DX preferred) and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, thermal simulation)
Collaborative and problem solving mindset with strong attention to detail
