Job Title: Project Engineer II

Summary:
Seeking a Project Engineer II to lead and support engineering design, drafting, and project execution with a focus on HVAC and mechanical systems. This role involves collaboration with internal and external resources, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring project deliverables are met with high quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the use of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) for developing detailed designs, layouts, and renderings for engineering projects.
Direct internal HVAC design efforts, including ductwork and piping, and review shop drawings for accuracy and coordination.
Mentor and assist junior engineers in drafting, detailing custom configurations, and preparing finished designs from sketches.
Prepare material take-offs, conduct reviews with manufacturing and project management, and maintain organized production drawing files.
Coordinate and lead design reviews with engineering, vendors, and manufacturing teams, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.
Redline and review engineering drawings and submittals, issue meeting minutes, and track action items for project follow-up.
Support the development and review of standard operating procedures and assist in factory and site acceptance testing protocols.
Communicate effectively with quality assurance, engineering, and manufacturing teams regarding new and revised prints, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Math.
3-5 years of related experience using design software, with strong HVAC/mechanical design background.
Advanced documentation skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic computer functions (word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage).
Ability to read and use technical drawings; intermediate skills in CAD systems.
Knowledge of design for manufacturability and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Strong visual communication, drawing, and detail orientation.
Aptitude for building design, especially in pharmaceutical facilities.
Decision-making and recommendation skills; professionalism in interactions.
Collaborative team player with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
