Job Description
THE ROLE: Project Engineer I
STATUS: Open Now
LOCATION: Rockwall, Texas
REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager
POSITION TYPE: Regular, full-time, non-exempt
OUR OPPORTUNITY:
As a Project Engineer I, you will use your mechanical design skills and education to convert 2D conceptual
drawings into full-blown SolidWorks 3D assemblies, including all the details to manufacture in our factory and
assemble at our customers’ location. You will be part of a team that works closely with outside vendors, sales,
and operations professionals to bring custom products to life in our world-class industrial coating equipment
business.
YOUR REPSONSIBILITIES:
Learn our company, business, and products – become an expert in finishing systems design.
Build technical & business acumen through interaction with technical professionals and senior leadership.
Manage multiple custom projects from drafting to programming.
Maintain effective communication with approvals on design.
Maintain a high percentage of quality, reliability, and velocity throughout projects.
Follow Project Engineering Department documentation processes.
Work directly with outside drafting resources.
Review design to ensure high quality product.
Communicate efficiently with manufacturing floor regarding design and build.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
You must have (or will complete soon) a Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university, an
equivalent Trade School degree, or equivalent experience of 2+ years working with SolidWorks.
You must be committed to completing your work with a high level of quality, detail, and urgency.
You must have a passionate desire to learn daily from a variety of situations and team members.
You must maintain a high standard of professionalism in attitudes and communication with others.
