Western International is a leading wholesale supplier of acetylene—the most efficient fuel gas for welding and cutting applications. Through additional products and services, Western provides customers with a turnkey solution for receiving acetylene and maintaining their cylinder fleets.

Position Summary
Responsible for the design and management of engineering projects that can include buildings, controls, equipment and/or processes. Depending on size, projects may Include overall and/or detail design, obtaining quotes and bids including but not limited to the bid process, selection of and management of contractors, contract management, quality control, reconciliation of invoices, and approval of disbursements. Estimating cost of project costs and justification of project validity and payback. Development of specifications & procedures. Ensure projects are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Job Functions
Manage engineering projects for an acetylene gas production facility

Essential Functions
Safely design and install systems for both the user and installer
Ability to follow required codes for design compliance
Manage multiple projects at the same time
Ability to check and correctly do your own work and detect and correct hazards and deficiencies
Follow and ensure contractors and other employees follow company policies and procedures
Find contractors as needed & Submit requisitions
Required for All Jobs
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Engineering – preferably Chemical, mechanical or electrical - Required
WORK EXPERIENCE
3 plus years Project management Experience - Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to details
Ability to communicate clearly – both verbally and in writing
Computer skills – AutoCad, Access, project management and Programming skills are a plus
Perform engineering calculations
Ability to adapt to changing environment and learn new skills
Travel Requirements
3-10 times/year # of trips are project dependent and vary by year, most destinations are flights some are driven, typically 2-5 days duration, rarely more than 12 days, typically self-scheduled.
