Project Engineer – Commercial Construction
Location: Boise, ID - on-site
Salary: $75,000–$80,000

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Commercial to join a team of construction professionals supporting high‑quality commercial projects in the Boise area.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, review, and track submittals
Write, manage, and track RFIs; assist with change order processing
Prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes
Maintain construction drawings and as‑built documentation
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration
Prepare and manage procurement tracking logs aligned with project schedules
Track submittals, RFIs, responses, project changes, and work progress to prevent delays or errors
Maintain electronic and hard‑copy project files as requested
Distribute current drawings and specifications to subcontractors
Support QA/QC efforts to ensure materials are installed per approved submittals
Document construction activities through written records and jobsite photos
File inspection reports, test reports, and other project documentation
Participate in project closeout activities
Support and help enforce jobsite safety and OSHA standards
Assist with job cost reporting and quantity verification
Understand CPM scheduling and support efforts to meet project milestones
Assist in creating, managing, and modifying subcontract agreements and purchase orders
Track master subcontract agreements and confirm signed copies are returned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
2–4 years of experience on commercial construction projects (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
A genuine drive to help build high‑quality projects
