Project Engineer – Industrial Construction
Atlanta, GA
A leading industrial contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support ongoing industrial and specialty construction projects in the Atlanta area.
This role will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams to support project execution from preconstruction through closeout. The position is heavily site-focused and offers strong long-term growth within a growing contractor environment.
Responsibilities:
Support RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Coordinate with field operations and subcontractors
Assist with procurement, material tracking, and scheduling
Help manage project reporting and cost tracking
Support project closeout documentation
Attend project meetings and maintain communication across teams
Requirements:
1–5 years of construction experience preferred
Background in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or specialty contracting environments
Experience supporting field operations and project coordination
Strong organizational and communication skills
Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred
Ideal backgrounds include:
Industrial contractors
Mechanical contractors
Electrical contractors
Process piping contractors
Specialty subcontractors
