Project Engineer

A water systems manufacturing company is seeking an Entry Level Project Engineer to support its Sales team in quoting high-purity water purification systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and experience bridging engineering with customer-facing teams to support proposal development and sales execution.

Project Engineer Responsibilities
Support sales team by designing and quoting custom water purification systems (RO, EDI, filtration, etc.)
Interpret customer requirements and generate technical proposals, pricing, and P&IDs
Create equipment layout drawings and submittal documents using AutoCAD
Prepare system documentation including process descriptions, validation protocols (URS, FRS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ), and turnover packages
Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure engineering intent is clearly communicated
Assist field installation and service teams with engineering-related troubleshooting and clarification
Collaborate with project managers and support departments to ensure seamless execution of quoted projects
Travel occasionally to customer sites for assessments or technical meetings as needed

Project Engineer Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field required
2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in water systems manufacturing

Preferences:
Experience working with customers on an as needed basis as part of the sales process
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience providing quotes/estimates to customers for custom systems/products
