Project Engineer – Commercial Construction

We are representing a well-established commercial builder in their search for a Project Engineer to support project delivery across a strong pipeline of commercial and institutional projects. This is a permanent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to grow within a reputable contractor.
This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who enjoys being involved in all phases of a project and working closely with field and project management teams.
The Role
As Project Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of projects by assisting with coordination, documentation, and communication between field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Support project scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting updates
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure project accuracy
• Help manage project costs, budgets, and procurement processes
• Maintain project records and ensure compliance with company standards
• Support field teams and assist with site coordination as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• 2+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience considered)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of construction processes and project lifecycles
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar is a plus)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
