Project Engineer – Plumbing Division

About the Opportunity
Paulson-Cheek Mechanical (PCM) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the successful execution of commercial and industrial plumbing construction projects throughout the Southeast.
This role is ideal for an early-career or developing construction professional looking to grow within project management and operations. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, vendors, and clients to support project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and field execution.
We are looking for someone who is organized, driven, coachable, and eager to build a long-term career within plumbing construction operations.
What You’ll Do
Support Project Managers and field leadership throughout all phases of plumbing construction projects
Assist with:
RFIs
Submittals
Change orders
Purchase orders
Material tracking
Project documentation and closeout
Coordinate with:
Vendors and suppliers
General contractors
Field personnel and foremen
Trade partners and subcontractors
Help maintain project schedules and assist with project reporting
Review plans, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and coordination
Participate in project meetings and communicate updates internally and externally
Assist with procurement and equipment/material coordination efforts
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in:
Construction Management
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Building Construction
Related field preferred
Strong interest in commercial plumbing construction and project operations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Proficient in:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Construction/project management software platforms preferred
