Position Summary
The Project Engineer II supports project execution by assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in all aspects of construction management. This role is responsible for coordinating documentation, communication, and field activities to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Engineer II also helps maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and owners while managing project documentation and workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager during all phases of construction.
Prepare and maintain project reports, meeting minutes, and field observations.
Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
Participate in project meetings and distribute minutes and action items.
Assist with maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Conduct field observations and support quality control and compliance efforts.
Support the closeout process including punch lists, asbuilts, and O&M documentation.
Promote and ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of construction documents and processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and sit for extended periods.
Travel to the project site is required.
Ability to visit and work on active construction sites, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
