SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the project team by managing documentation, coordinating subcontractors, and assisting with day-to-day project execution. This role ensures smooth communication between field and office teams, supports project managers and superintendents, and helps maintain compliance with schedule, budget, and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Prepare, review, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
Support project scheduling efforts, including updating timelines and monitoring progress.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company standards.
Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and invoice review.
Participate in project meetings; prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
Help ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control requirements, and project specifications.
Support project closeout activities, including punch list management, as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranty documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience in construction, preferably with a general contractor.
Experience on mission-critical, data center, or large-scale commercial projects is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, etc.).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work at project sites fulltime.
