Overview
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support large-scale industrial and data center construction projects, with a focus on structural steel systems. This role will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination across design, fabrication, and field execution.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Manage document control processes, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and revisions to ensure accuracy across project phases
Assist with cost estimating and quantity takeoffs for structural steel materials and labor
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to troubleshoot and resolve project issues
Support project scheduling efforts by tracking timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities
Prepare technical documentation such as shop drawings, reports, submittals, and as-built records
Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency and coordination
Travel up to 25% as needed for project support
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
3+ years of experience supporting structural steel, industrial, or data center construction projects
Hands-on experience with RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation workflows
Strong understanding of construction drawings and coordination between design and field teams
Proficiency with industry tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trimble, or Primavera P6
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
