Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a detail-oriented, on-site Project Engineer to support a multi-million dollar, fast-paced semiconductor project in Boise, Idaho. This role is responsible for reviewing complex design drawings and performing field measurements to validate installed quantities, ensuring cost accuracy. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with reviewing technical drawings across multiple disciplines to ensure accurate quantification, alignment, and reliable project execution in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
Role accountabilities:
Review drawings, models and specifications for semiconductor facilities to quantify scope of work.
Perform field measurements to validate installed quantities and progress.
Prepare and maintain accurate quantity take-offs in line with unit-rate structures.
Verify contractor-reported quantities and support invoice validation.
Identify discrepancies between design, field conditions, and reported quantities.
Support change management by quantifying variations and scope adjustments.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commercial teams to ensure alignment across scope, cost and execution.
Maintain clear documentation of measurements, assumptions, and adjustments.
Provide field project support as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent field experience.
3–7+ years of experience in quantity surveying, cost engineering, or field measurement roles.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in take-off and measurement tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel).
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or other high-tech construction projects.
Experience with unit-rate programs.
Familiarity with cleanroom environments and systems (e.g. MEP, Tool Install, etc).
Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
