We are hiring an experienced Project Engineer who will support the successful execution of large-scale TxDOT infrastructure projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area for a heavy civil general contractor. This role will assist project management and field operations teams with underground wet utilities and related civil infrastructure scopes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with the planning, coordination, and execution of TxDOT and private/commercial heavy civil projects.
Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, material tracking, and project documentation.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and production tracking reports to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, utility owners, and engineers to support project progress and resolve field issues.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and utility plans to ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and project requirements.
Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, forecasting, and pay applications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience supporting heavy civil, roadway, underground utility, or TxDOT projects preferred.
Knowledge of underground wet utility installation methods is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 is preferred.
