Project Engineer
North America | Renewable Natural Gas | Waste-to-Energy
Full-Time | Up to 20% Travel
AD Energy Recruitment is partnered with a leading player in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), biogas, and waste-to-value sector who are looking to appoint a Project Engineer II to support the delivery of complex industrial infrastructure projects across North America.
This is a strong opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop within the RNG, anaerobic digestion, wastewater, and renewable energy sectors while gaining exposure to full project lifecycle delivery across multidisciplinary engineering environments.
The successful candidate will support project execution from design coordination through to construction and commissioning, working closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate engineering activities across assigned projects to support successful project delivery
Support project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare technical specifications and tender documentation for equipment procurement
Review third-party engineering deliverables, equipment proposals, and technical submittals
Support permitting and licensing activities while ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards
Coordinate engineering review meetings and support communication across project stakeholders
Provide technical support to site teams, subcontractors, and vendors during project execution
Participate in project risk assessments and support mitigation planning
Assist with multidisciplinary coordination across mechanical, process, electrical, and controls systems
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective engineering solutions
Requirements
Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline
2–15 years of experience within industrial plant, process engineering, EPC, or infrastructure project environments
Exposure to RNG, anaerobic digestion, biogas, wastewater treatment, renewable energy, or waste-to-energy projects is highly desirable
Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering coordination and project execution
Familiarity with mechanical/process systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and controls
Knowledge of permitting, industrial safety, and compliance requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English communication skills required
