Role Description
Able Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Chula Vista, CA. The Project Engineer will support Project Managers and Superintendents in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in construction project management.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage RFIs (Requests for Information)
Coordinate and track project submittals
Assist with project scheduling and schedule updates
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
Assist with change order management and tracking
Maintain project documentation and document control systems
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations
Track procurement and material deliveries
Assist with project closeout documentation
Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field work experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with construction management software is a plus
Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical construction is preferred but not required
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
