3Vi is a growing engineering practice headquartered in San Ramon, CA, with branches throughout California and the U.S. We have an opening for a Project Engineer to join our San Jose practice. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Produce electrical calculations and designs in accordance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, local codes, and design criteria manual. Electrical calculations may include volt drop, lighting designs, motor starting, conduit and wire sizing.
Prepare lighting simulations in AGi32
Prepare ETAP studies
Participate in weekly meetings with the project team
Prepare markups electrical drawings and draft technical reports
Prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides, as needed.
Must be motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team to meet the project deadlines.
Must be able to read, interpret, and implement requirements derived from manuals and electrical specifications.
Review shop drawings and product data sheets is required
Participate in meetings in-person and over Teams
Key Attributes
Candidate must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Must have a passion for engineering, excellent attention to detail, and be willing to learn new skills
Motivated and able to work as part of a team or work independently on a task.
Excellent time management skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. engineering program (required).
NCEES (Engineer-in-Training) EIT or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Prior experience with ETAP or Autodesk is a plus
Compensation
W2 $75,000 - $95,000 annually (depending on experience)
