This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Project Electrical Engineer in United States.
This role is part of a multidisciplinary engineering environment focused on designing and delivering complex building systems across healthcare, education, commercial, and science-driven projects. You will contribute to both new construction and renovation efforts, developing electrical system designs that support safe, efficient, and high-performing built environments. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders, you will help translate design intent into fully coordinated technical solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering design with project collaboration, site engagement, and quality assurance responsibilities. It is well-suited for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives in a client-facing, detail-oriented, and technically challenging environment with meaningful real-world impact.
Accountabilities
Develop and design electrical engineering systems for building construction projects, including lighting, power distribution, communications, signaling, and telecommunication systems
Participate in project planning sessions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define design goals and technical approaches
Serve as project engineer or contribute in a leadership capacity on engineering efforts, including coordination meetings and technical decision-making
Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and electrical equipment selections, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards
Perform quality control reviews of engineering documentation and support continuous improvement in design accuracy and coordination
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, evaluate change orders, and support construction-phase services including site visits and progress monitoring
Contribute to value engineering discussions and recommend process or design improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design for building systems or related project-based engineering work
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States is required
Strong expertise in electrical building systems design, with the ability to work independently across all major electrical disciplines
Proficiency with engineering design tools such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools
Solid understanding of life safety codes and building system standards
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to technical detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Benefits
Competitive salary range of $101,010 to $126,315 annually, with potential for bonuses
Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans
Flexible spending accounts and additional voluntary insurance options
401(k) retirement plan with company participation
Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements including remote options
Professional development and career growth opportunities
Collaborative and inclusive workplace culture focused on innovation and design impact.
