Job Summary
Viking is seeking an experienced, self-motivated engineering professional to support product design, project management, customer communication, and manufacturing documentation from sale through delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working with customers, fabricators, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop new products and improve existing products
Manage projects from initial sale through final delivery
Serve as the primary engineering contact for customers during projects
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Generate plasma table files for CNC cutting
Create assembly drawings and bills of materials
Coordinate with fabrication teams and manage workflow
Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
Maintain organized project documentation and drawings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Experience creating manufacturing and assembly drawings
Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects independently
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working directly with customers on custom projects
Background in mechanical design, manufacturing, or fabrication
