About Arycs Technologies

Arycs delivers power-efficient, coherent-class optical connectivity based on silicon photonics, coherent DSP, and advanced optical architectures. Our solutions provide industry-leading bandwidth per watt, deterministic performance, and flexible network evolution for AI, cloud, telecom, and edge infrastructure. Designed for real-world deployment, Arycs Technologies enables networks to scale with growing AI demand without disruptive redesign or hardware replacement.

Role Overview

The Production Test Engineer serves as Arycs’ production test engineering expert, bridging R&D and manufacturing to ensure advanced optical modules meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements. This role designs and deploys scalable test systems, automates production test processes, analyzes yield and cycle-time data, and supports the transition from pilot builds to high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement production test infrastructure: Develop and deploy production test setups for optical transceivers, including electrical and optical testing at wafer, module, and final assembly levels.
Automate and scale test processes: Create and maintain test automation scripts using tools such as Python and NI TestStand, scaling from engineering builds to volume manufacturing.
Analyze and optimize production performance: Use test data, SPC, process capability studies, and failure trend analysis to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and eliminate production bottlenecks.
Lead debug and root-cause investigations: Drive hands-on troubleshooting for test failures and collaborate with hardware, photonics, and electrical engineering teams to resolve component- and system-level issues.
Support NPI-to-production transition: Work closely with design, reliability, and operations teams to ensure smooth product transfer into manufacturing and provide input on design-for-test requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of hands-on experience in optical module testing, preferably in a high-speed transceiver, coherent optics, or photonics-focused environment.
Strong understanding of optical components and systems, including lasers, modulators, photodiodes, transceivers, and high-speed interconnects.
Proficiency with optical and electrical test equipment such as BERTs, optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, tunable lasers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly in Python; NI TestStand experience is a plus.
Proven ability to bring up test systems in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
Startup-ready mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach and comfort operating through ambiguity.
Preferred experience with coherent optics, integrated photonics, silicon photonics, contract manufacturing, overseas production ramp-up, or previous startup environments.
