We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Product Test Engineer onsite in Logan, Utah.
iFIT is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Product Test Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through robust testing, validation, and process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure all products meet or exceed our high standards before they reach the market. Your contributions will drive the testing strategy and ensure the seamless execution of NPI testing procedures, identifying potential risks and improving testing efficiency and accuracy.
COMPENSATION
$85,000 - $95,000
ROLE COMMITMENTS
Assist in VAVE programs by completing proper documentation and procedures to help reduce cost, and updating and reviewing procedures and results within the TestRail configuration of the VAVE initiative.
Integrate additional fixtures into testing cages to enable more efficient and effective testing for new and existing modalities.
Establish a TestRail project for the treadmill modality to encapsulate and standardize the complete testing of the modality.
Empower the use of AI to increase productivity, improve procedure protocols, and enhance test reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make technical contributions as part of a team of product test engineers.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for new product development, ensuring thorough validation and verification of product designs.
Participate in the EVT testing of new designs, ensuring that all products meet quality, performance, and required standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to define test requirements, ensure alignment, and drive process improvements.
Establish, refine, and execute test protocols, methodologies, and validation plans to ensure robust product performance under various conditions.
Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for product test failures and non-conformance issues, working with teams to resolve and prevent future occurrences.
Ensure all regulatory compliance and industry standards are met during the testing and validation processes.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and insights to enhance test efficiency and product quality.
Provide detailed, actionable reports to senior leadership on test results, progress, and risks, ensuring clear communication of findings and mitigation strategies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education And Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field; Master's degree preferred.
0 – 2+ years of experience in product test engineering or validation.
Familiarity with the NPI process and hands-on experience with product testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
Strong background in test methodologies, failure analysis, and statistical analysis.
Proven ability to work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with other team members and supporting multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Highly motivated to achieve both team and individual goals.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in testing consumer products, medical devices, or similar industries.
Familiarity with test automation tools and software.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product testing such as UL, CE, ASTM, and ASME.
Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
