ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lite-On Technology is seeking a highly motivated Product Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and manufacturing launch of electronic products and power solutions. This role is responsible for electrical design, product characterization, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle. The Product Electrical Engineer will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet performance, reliability, cost, and quality objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and validate electrical circuits, systems, and assemblies for new and existing products.
Support product development from concept through production release and sustaining engineering activities.
Develop electrical schematics, BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering documentation.
Conduct circuit analysis, simulation, characterization, and performance testing.
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures and customer-reported issues.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product transfer and production readiness.
Support design verification testing (DVT), engineering validation testing (EVT), and production validation testing (PVT).
Evaluate component selection, alternative sourcing, and cost-reduction opportunities.
Review and approve engineering changes, design modifications, and product improvements.
Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers on component qualification and technical problem-solving.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
Analyze product reliability data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Support customer technical discussions and provide engineering expertise for product-related issues.
Participate in failure analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Maintain project schedules and provide technical status updates to management.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
3+ years of experience in electrical product design, product engineering, or sustaining engineering.
Experience with power electronics, power supplies, server power solutions, networking products, or electronic manufacturing preferred.
Experience supporting products in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of product development processes and engineering change management.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in schematic design and circuit analysis.
Experience using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
Familiarity with PCB design and layout review.
Understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics circuits.
