The Product Engineer A Role
Provides advanced technical knowledge and analytical support through primary responsibility for establishing the product design, specifications, as well as conducting investigations and performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
Understands and negotiates customer technical requirements
Generate bearing designs to meet customer technical requirements and specifications
Create and evaluate bearing designs using CAD/CAE tools and software
Develops and maintains technical relationships with customers
Presents NSK technology and project recommendations to customers
Works with customers to identify new project opportunities
Coordinates customer test support and test return analysis
Prepares and presents all customer technical communication and documentation
Prepares design documents (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Drawings)
Obtains technical approval for process changes for activities such as VA/VE
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
4–6 years of relevant experience required; 6–8 years preferred.
Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is preferred.
