Product Development Engineer

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field, MBA is a plus
2-8 years of experience in product development for capital equipment, automation or electromechanical systems
Demonstrated experience taking products through full development cycle including translating customer requirements into technical specifications
Experience in product strategy development, market research, and product roadmap creation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in custom equipment configuration for customers applicable
Knowledgeable on relevant industry verticals and technical systems advantageous
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time to domestic and international customers


Responsibilities:

Lead product development process for automation equipment and work with cross-functional engineering and product management team to identify and analyze customer problems
Work with customers to gather feedback and develop customer insights
Develop product roadmaps that consider business goals, market size, and customer strategies
Collaborate with multifunctional internal engineering groups to define product roadmap and define service, repair, and upgrade plans
Develop product marketing positioning and launch strategies, and articulate technical depth in product suite value proposition and messaging
