Summary: Seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead technical automotive engineering projects, focusing on product development and corporate initiatives.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering required; Master of Science preferred
Six Sigma greenbelt certification preferred
5-8 years of product/process engineering experience
Knowledge of magnet wire products and applications preferred
Understanding of process engineering techniques with modern equipment experience
Familiarity with project planning, management, and automotive product development practices (APQP)
Ability to problem solve using engineering principles
Responsibilities:
Lead technical activities for automotive product development projects
Plan and organize project activities from Phase 0 to Phase 5
Translate customer requirements into specifications and testing activities
Lead DFMEAs and engineer risk mitigation activities for projects
Identify validation and verification activities needed for design needs
Lead internal design reviews following design control practices
Practice design for lean and six sigma methodology
Collaborate with laboratory resources for testing activities
Work with the automotive team to enhance skills
Assist in meeting project requirements
