We are seeking to hire a Process Commissioning Engineer to join our company in Chandler, AZ. The Process Cx Engineer verifies that all process utilities and specialty systems are installed, started up, tested, and ready for safe operational use.
These systems include those relates to Process Gases, Process Chemicals, Ultra-Pure Water (UWP), Waste Systems, Exhaust Systems, Utilities, and Tool Hook-Up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design & Specification Review
Review and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, isometrics, and equipment data sheets
Review vendor submittals and commissioning procedures
Level 1–3 Commissioning Support
Verify correct installation of systems and components
Perform walkdowns and generate punch lists
Witness pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, and drying
Support loop checks, valve stroke checks, and instrument calibration verification
Coordinate and support vendor-led start‑up activities
Level 4 Functional Testing
Lead or witness functional performance testing
Verify system alarms, interlocks, shutdowns, and permissives
Confirm system performance (pressure, flow, temperature, conductivity, purity, chemical concentration)
Test redundancy, duty/standby changeover, and failure scenarios
Validate control sequences in coordination with BMS, SCADA, and PLC teams
Level 5 Integrated Testing
Support integrated systems testing under operational load
Verify interaction between process utilities, exhaust systems, abatement, life safety, and tool interfaces
Support recovery testing following power loss, EPO events, utility failures, and alarm scenarios
Documentation & Turnover
Complete commissioning check sheets and test scripts
Maintain FAT/SAT records and redline documentation
Track and close punch lists
Compile system turnover packages
Prepare final commissioning and close‑out reports
Authority:
You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) preferred
5+ years of commissioning experience on semiconductor, life sciences, or other high‑tech facilities
Strong working knowledge of process utility systems and cleanroom support infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control narratives, commissioning procedures, and specifications
Familiarity with structured commissioning methodologies (Levels 1–5)
Strong coordination, reporting, and technical documentation skills
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors
