PCB Designer - Remote

Position Summary

The PCB Designer is responsible for the design, layout, analysis, testing, and documentation of advanced Digital and RF Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record designing complex, multi-layer, high-speed PCBs utilizing state-of-the-art processors, FPGAs, memory architectures, and high-speed serial interfaces.

Essential Responsibilities
Design and layout complex Digital, RF, and mixed-signal PCBs using Altium Designer.
Develop optimized PCB stackups utilizing low-loss materials and spread-glass laminates.
Apply Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) best practices, including controlled impedance routing, channel tuning, crosstalk mitigation, and low-inductance PDN design.
Support schematic development, prototype builds, debugging, testing, and production release.
Participate in technical reviews, vendor interactions, and cross-functional engineering activities.
Prepare and maintain design documentation and engineering specifications.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience designing 10+ layer high-speed PCBs.
Proficiency with Altium Designer.
Experience with large FPGAs, microprocessors, DDR3/4/5, Flash memory, PCIe Gen3/4/5, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, RS-232/422, audio, video, and GPS interfaces.
Strong understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) principles.
Experience with high-speed differential signaling from 10 Gbps to 25+ Gbps.
Knowledge of controlled impedance design, via optimization, back-drilling, connector tuning, and high-speed interconnect design.
Familiarity with switching and linear power supplies.
Strong engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RF PCB design.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as ARAS.
